The Custom made pens on this site represent a collaborative effort between Johnny Hicks and Ralph Prather.

Johnny's expertise in machining is complimented by his talent in creating complex artistic jewelry creations. Prather, after retiring, spent many years repairing and restoring various fountain pens. When parts were not readily available the option of making them became more and more practical.

The pens contain original nib assemblies but most everything else is uniquely created. The filling system contains no plastic parts and should last more than a lifetime. The jewels and clutch rings are custom made for each pen.
